Meet the I.K.J.J.U. Committee
This Page Introduces the Members of the Committee for the International Kempo Ju-Jitsu Union. You will meet many of them on the two annual I.K.J.J.U. Seminars held each year, they are usually either teaching or joining in with the training. Hopefully this page will serve as an introduction to these approachable, skilled and knowledgeable instructors who clearly enjoy what they do.
O'Shihan Court:
O’Shihan Court has studied martial arts for over 55 years, and he has been fortunate enough to have studied under many skilled and knowledgable instructors. O'Shihan Court honestly believes that all systems of martial arts have something to offer, and that we can incorporate it into what we practice or teach.
O’Shihan Court currently holds a 2nd Dan in Wado-Ryu karate, a 1st Dan in Ueshiba Aikido, a 1st Pan Black Sash in Fung Shou Wu-Shu and was presented with his Master Grade in Kempo Ju-Jitsu by the International Kempo Ju-Jitsu and Shihan Dave Vincent, and currently holds a 10th Dan Rank in Kempo Ju-Jitsu as the current Head of the International Kempo Ju-Jitsu Union.
Shihan Duggan:
Shihan Duggan is the Chief Instructor and Head of Kyusho Jitsu Europe. He has studied a variety of systems over his 45+ years in martial arts, including Judo, Aikido, Kempo Ju-Jitsu, Kyusho-Jitsu and Aiki-Jitsu. He has specialised in the following areas of training: Atemi Waza, Law Enforcement Tactics, and Kyusho-Jitsu. Shihan Duggan has been inducted into several Halls of Fame and received many awards during his many years studying and teaching Martial Arts.
Shihan Duggan currently holds a 1st Dan in Judo, a Master level rank from the International Martial Arts Congress, is a certified Kyusho instructor (he studied under the late Grandmaster Jack Hogan), he is also a Certified Modern Arnis instructor under Grandmaster Bruce Chiu and Currently holds an 8th Dan in Kempo Ju-Jitsu.
Shihan Holland:
Shihan Mark Holland currently holds a 7th Dan in Ni Kawa Kobu Jutsu. He has been training since he was 16yrs old, starting out in Aikido, before training in weapons-based systems under Sensei Mike Finn. Shihan Holland currently holds 3rd Dan in RyuKyu Kobudo, and 1st Dans in Seitei Tanjo Jutsu, Hoshin Jutsu & Kendo. Shihan is a firm believer in working the basics hard and that you will get out of your training only what you put into it. Shihan Holland has a very dry sense of humour to go along with his very relaxed teaching style.

Shihan Launders:
Shihan Launders has been studying the art of Judo for 40+ years (since the age of 16) and has taken part in many National & International competitions for the UK and the UK Judo Kata team. Shihan Launders currently holds the rank of 7th Dan in Traditional Judo, 3rd Dan with the British Judo Association and 3rd Dan Kempo Ju-Jitsu under Shihan Duggan. His system of Judo is geared mainly towards effective use of leverage and technique over raw strength.
Shihan Court:
Shihan Court has been studying martial arts for 40 years, during that time he has extensively trained in the following systems: Traditional Judo (1st Dan), FMA (2nd Degree Black Belt), Alicaway Combat Knife (Level 1 Instructor) and Kempo Ju-Jitsu (5th Dan). Shihan Court aims to teach techniques that rely on principles of leverage and off-balancing rather than ones that rely purely on brute strength.
